Sorry, I had to unsubscribe. I couldn't keep up with the volume. Can Xfree 4.02 be shoehorned into a FreeBSD 4.2 release? Here's what I am thinking, I have an image that was done from the downloadable iso image. I open it and see the directory xfree86336. Can I just replace it with the latest from xfree86(other than the directory name), or is there more involved in the operation? Would it be easier to just install a minimal FreeBSD, then download Xfree86?
