I haven't seen an Explorer port for it, but you can use Netscape. > Will freebds enhance the proformance of Windows 3.1 (486 pc ) Not exactly. It will enhance the performance of your PC as OPPOSED to the same pc running any DOS or Windows OS. FreeBSD is an operating system. It doesn't run at the same time as DOS or Windows, but instead of them (though it can co-exist on the same PC). > What benefits would I experience using freebds ? You get true multitasking, built-in TCP/IP (internet protocol) support, and far better system resource handling among oodles of other neat stuff. The downside? It's a bit more difficult to learn. However, with some patience, the right literature (The Complete FreeBSD by Greg Lehey), the right support (this group) you'll do just great.
