I have an Adaptec AHA-2940UW controller with a Plextor 12x cdrom and Conner tape drive running off of it. NT sees everything just fine, but when I boot from the cd to install BSD, it probes the controller and finds nothing on any of the id's. It gets an unknown response and says that the board is not responding. On the fifth id it should find the cdrom, but it passes over it just like everything else. The cables and termination are just fine. I can get as far as selecting which media I want to install from, and when I select cdrom, it simply says it can't find one. If anyone has any ideas, they'd be appreciated. Michael Wallis To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
