I am pretty sure that you had the base binaries ,a sys-current kernel and that pppd will not work for you. If I am not mistaken you need inetd, pppd, route, routed from freebsd-current . Thats what I did when I was faced with the problem that you are describing with pppd. My entire system is current as of a couple of weeks ago and I typing all this using ppp. BTW: could you try to be more specific next time , thanks. Good Luck, Amancio
