The kernel builds fine with COPTFLAGS=-O -pipe but with COPTFLAGS=-g (or -g -pipe) I get the following error. I get the same error without optimization and without -g. The kernel is patched with a USB audio driver, but that seems unrelated to this error. Any ideas? Is it a good idea to use -g and -O together?
