Read and edit (if necessary) each line of your /etc/sysconfig file. There are lots of things in there you can change to suit your local setup. One is your hostname. For other networking stuff, the setup can be done by hand by editing the relevant files (/etc/hosts, /etc/resolv.conf, /etc/defaultrouter, /etc/hostname.*, etc.) Use /usr/sbin/adduser to create new accounts. I admit this is probably daunting for someone who isn't familiar with UNIX ("why are there so many numbers in /etc/hosts?!?") and it would be nice to have, say, a Lynx-based system and network admin tool. Now if only I could get a month off work... -- Brian ("Though this be madness, yet there is method in't") Tao taob@gate.sinica.edu.tw <-- work ........ play --> taob@io.org
