A friend of mine has a computer with a 3c900 card and my 2.2.7 floppy freezes
when the vx driver detects the card. So, I want to build a custom boot disk
that has an updated GENERIC kernel with the new xl driver. Getting a new NIC
is not an option, so please no replies to that effect. I tried going to
/usr/src/release/floppies/boot and running make but it dies while trying to
link crunch claiming that ppp.lo references unknown functions. Any
suggestions, tips, hints? I really don't want to have to build a whole release
just to make a boot floppy.
