Might be the cable, I guess. I have a smart UPS from APC also connected to my FBSD box with the cable from APC (this is 9-9 male female , is it what you call 940-0024C??) but I've never seen that bad msg even though I am at a place where the power fluctuations are so bad.... I only get 'source power failed' notice and 'source power restored notice', no reboots! The polling is so instant... and if I deliberately take the UPS off power I don't get a shutdown warning... -Wash -- Odhiambo Washington Systems Administrator Inter-Connect Ltd. 3rd Flr The Chancery Valley Rd PO Box 39519 Nairobi, KENYA Tel: 254 2 711140 Fax: 254 2 718418 C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot.
