The system is a PII, 64RAM and an 8455MB IBM (model DHEA 38461) EIDE hard disk. After everything is installed, I get "Read error" I tried different options for the hard disk BIOS settings (LBA on, off, different FPIO and PIO modes), as well as trying to install several times with different disk layouts. I usually did 256M for SWAP, 500 for /, 2Gig for /usr, 2Gig for /usr/home, 2Gig for /usr/local and the rest for /var mount point. Any clues on this matter would be helpful. The "Read error" line is the 4th from the top if you do "strings boot.flp | more". -- Yan Jan Koum jkb@best.com | "Turn up the lights; I don't want www.FreeBSD.org -- The Power to Serve | to go home in the dark."
