I need to get an AFS client working under FreeBSD. I tried arla. But couldn't get it to work. Well it runs and I can see the afs root but cannot cd or list any subdirectories of the afs-root. I asked on arla-drinkers which is supposed to be the corresponding mailing list but this seems to be a real dead project. No traffic on the mailing list no chnages to arla in the last six months. Then I took a look at freebsd-afs which is also very low traffic but at least not dead (Like twenty mails in 2001). It hints that the freebsd development is centered on getting a freebsd afs server running. Everybody on that list seems to be using the kth arla afs client successfully ... hmm. Any further hints?
