Tobias/All, tcpd itself is not actually on my system anywhere. In fact the only "source" for it is in /usr/src/contrib/tcp_wrappers/tcpd.c and make buildworld didn't compile it, and it make installworld didn't attempt to install it (or compile it either). I did the suggestion of modifying the make file in the ports tree, and it's man page, as well as the one sitting in /usr/src/contrib/tcp_wrappers/tcpd.8 both still indicate that the usual modifications to inetd (to call tcpd) are still how it's done. A "locate" fails to find the tcpd program, just where is it supposed to be, and where are it's sources suppossed to live ? Is it reasonable to expect a "SUP'd" -stable "make buildworld" "make installworld" to fix this ? (I guess I can do it again --)) ) Should I just "install" the one from ports ???? I need tcpd on this system before I allow it to be exposed to the internet and would welcome suggestions on the "right" way to get it installed.
