AFAIR it To be fair to gs ... apsfilter uses gs as filter if you have a "normal" printer. apsfilter can handle PS printers, too. I got other infos by Thomas Bueschgens. In most cases it doesn't work, if your dvips's config file isn't ok. You should ask Thomas Bueschgens <sledge@hammer.oche.de> for that. He is the kind soul, who helped me a lot, when I was short in time ... and his "baby" is dvips .. He's a real TeXnician ! ;-) Ask him ... if dvips is setup correctly and if permissions are ok, then there are no problems ... (I hope!
