AFAIR it To be fair to gs ... apsfilter uses gs as filter if you have a "normal" printer. apsfilter can handle PS printers, too. I got other infos by Thomas Bueschgens. In most cases it doesn't work, if your dvips's config file isn't ok. You should ask Thomas Bueschgens for that. He is the kind soul, who helped me a lot, when I was short in time ... and his "baby" is dvips .. He's a real TeXnician ! ;-) Ask him ... if dvips is setup correctly and if permissions are ok, then there are no problems ... (I hope!
