The old soud sys was installed on 'top of' 2.0 -current.

Running a make depend uncovered some missing headers:

cc: ../../gnu/i386/scd.c: No such file or directory
../../i386/i386/conf.c:245: matcd.h: No such file or directory
../../i386/i386/conf.c:893: nic.h: No such file or directory
../../i386/i386/conf.c:904: nnic.h: No such file or directory

This being the case it looks like its not practical for me to build vat
since it would require backing off to 2.0R.
Maybe the only issue in the way is the lack of the above files, what do
you think?
