https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D221025 Bug ID: 221025 Summary: [exp-run] Update devel/gdb to 8.0 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any URL: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D11465 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Ports Framework Assignee: portmgr@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jhb@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org, luca.pizzamiglio@gmail.com The reason we are asking for an exp-run as it seems that clang in 10.3 rele= ase may crash due to an internal clang bug when building gdb 8.0 (which is now C++11 code). The maintainer (Luca) has reproduced a crash in clang 3.9.1 t= wice on two separate machines. When I built 8.0 on amd64 and i386 10.3 release jails I didn't see the crash. There aren't any ports that depend on devel/= gdb, so you could just do a limited build of devel/gdb to see if it works or not= on your end. The actual diff is in the phab URL. Thanks! --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.=
