https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D259936 Bug ID: 259936 Summary: net-im/gajim 1.3.3 does not save password, keyring or locally Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: rm@FreeBSD.org Reporter: marko.cupac@mimar.rs Flags: maintainer-feedback?(rm@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: rm@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 229594 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D229594&action= =3Dedit gajim features screen Hi, gajim won't save my account password. I guess it should save password in gnome-keyring, the same as e.g nextcloudclient and chromium (those two are saving passwords in gnome-keyring just fine). When started from console I get those messages: 19.11.2021 14:40:33 (W) nbxmpp.auth GSSAPI not available: No module named 'gssapi' 19.11.2021 14:40:44 (W) gajim.password No recommended keyring backend available.Passwords cannot be stored. 19.11.2021 14:40:46 (W) gajim.c.m.bookmarks (example.org) Error from user@example.org: item-not-found - Node not found As I said, I have gnome-keyring installed, and it works fine for nextcloudclient and chromium: me@mybox:~ % pkg info -x keyring gnome-keyring-40.0 py38-keyring-18.0.1,1 py38-keyrings.alt-3.1.1 Gajim features screen (accessed from Preferences -> Audio/Video -> Show Features) shows "Secure Password Storage" as unavailable (see attached screenshot). If I understand correctly gajim should fall back to saving account in clear text, but this is (luckily) not done either. Any advice on how to make account password saved? I would be glad to test a= ny configurations or patches. Thank you in advance, --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
