yes, I wrote it for my bridge code (available from my home page) and
then ported it to the netboot code. About its status: it works with
some combinations of motherboards/ethernet cards, but not with others.
Apparently there are different levels of compliance to the PCI specs,
at least for the detection of boot ROMs.
