Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk How can you tell how many file descriptors are open throughout the whole FreeBSD operating system? I have 4096 in the sysctl kern.maxfiles setting, but I need to write a trigger script to let me know when that reaches 75% of available open files. Is there a kernel setting I can look at for the # of file descriptors in use? andy ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: \-/ :::::::: Andrew N.
