The filesystem is practically empty so that isn't it. I did the expert install, but followed all the defaults. I might try building another kernel as I also added another PCI NIC but it has no sign in dmesg or in ifconfig -a. Its just a barebones system, no X windows, or sound card or anything. Could there be a conflict perhaps, or other error its not telling me, and if so how could I track it down better?
