That's pretty messed up. Symbolic links are not supposed to have flags. Can you fix it with fsdb(8)? I'd recommend dropping into single user mode and, # umount /usr # fsdb /dev/ad0s1f # Or whatever device /usr is on > cd /usr/share/locale//LC_COLLATE # path to link > chflags 0 > q And fsck(8) the system as it recommends. -- Crist J.
