I may be able to get one of these: http://www.asus.com/Products/Motherboard/Pentiumpro/P3c-l/index.html I don't tend to keep up with hardware stuff; I've always hated the PC architecture and talk of motherboards and bus speeds and such tends to nauseate me. I therefore find myself quite unfamiliar with this chipset, and I can't find reference to it in the archives. I have heard of the 440BX, but not this i820 thing. So I'd really appreciate it if someone says "Yes, that'll work fine", or "No, you can't boot" or "It works, but not the USB controller" or something. I'm particularly curious about the IDE controller (I have an ATA66 drive and it would be nice to use it) and the USB. I'll be running -current on it; this is an upgrade for my play machine. -- Christopher Masto Senior Network Monkey NetMonger Communications chris@netmonger.net info@netmonger.net http://www.netmonger.net Free yourself, free your machine, free the daemon -- http://www.freebsd.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
