The problem doesn't have anything to do with debian per se.  You would
probably have exactly the same problem trying to install slackware or
redhat or 95 or NT.  The problem is that the system can't communicate with
the scsi disk.  Double-check the scsi id and terminator.  Make sure the
cable and host adapter are okay.  If you can temporarily slap in an IDE
drive, install debian on that, then run "grep -i scsi /var/log/dmesg",
and send us the output.
