Hello, I'm in a process of testing wether some particular SCSI equipment is damaged or not (I suspect some electrical shock might have happened). The hardware consists of: 1. Adaptec 39160 controller 2. 2 X IBM DDYS-T18350N disks on the second channel (presented as sdc and sdd) 3. LVD cables and auto LVD/SE terminator 4. 2 aditional HDDs, CD-ROM and CD-RW on narrow/wide portion of the first SCSI channel of the above mentioned controller all together is connected to an Alpha SX164 machine running Linux kernel 2.4.18, AIC7XXX diver 6.2.5. To stress the equipment, I'm using iozone 3.87. I just got the following error message in my logs: SCSI disk error : host 1 channel 0 id 8 lun 0 return code = 8000002 Info fld=0x58502, Deferred sd08:21: sns = f1 4 ASC=44 ASCQ= 0 Raw sense data:0xf1 0x00 0x04 0x00 0x05 0x85 0x02 0x18 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x44 0x00 0x00 0x80 0x00 0x03 0x01 0x02 0x00 0x00 0x10 0x00 0x00 0x78 0x03 0xff 0x01 0x46 0x00 0x00 I/O error: dev 08:21, sector 407848 I'm assuming it refers to /dev/sdc1. What does this particular error mean? Regards, Metod To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe aic7xxx" in the body of the message
