Hi, all-- Is there a reason why the ftp command does odd things when presented with the URL format on this particular FTP server? 5-epia% ftp ftp://ftp.andrew.cmu.edu Connected to ASG2.WEB.cmu.edu. 220 asg2.web.cmu.edu FTP server (Version 6.00+Heimdal 20031031+KTH-KRB 1.3-20031 030) ready. 331 Guest login ok, type your name as password. 230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply. Remote system type is UNIX. Using binary mode to transfer files. 200 Type set to I. 500 'CWD ': command not understood. CWD command not recognized, trying XCWD. 500 'XCWD ': command not understood. ftp: The `CWD ' command (without a directory), which is required by RFC 1738 to support the empty directory in the URL pathname (`//'), conflicts with the server's conformance to RFC 959.
