Unplug the keyboard when it is booting, plug it back in when sysinstall appears seems to be a work-around for the install CD in 6.2 Beta. 2. Upgradding to 6.2-PRE-RELEASE fixes the problem for usb keyboards. The system no longer panics, but will panic if a usb mouse is plugged in during boot phase.
