I would reccomend installing freebsd 4.2 -release and checking out the /usr/src/sys/netinet directory. (If you wanna check out the IPv6 stack look through /usr/src/sys/netinet6) Hope this helped, matt -----Original Message----- From: Sharath Udupa [mailto:sku@netkracker.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2001 7:35 PM To: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: implementing TCP/IP stack Hello, I am a Computer Science student studying in India. I wish to write a TCP/IP stack which would be very small so as to fit into a floppy. I wish to know if the TCP/IP implementation in FreeBSD is according to 4.4BSD (Net/3) or is it like the third party code in linux.
