did you set LD_LIBRARY_PATH in first instance ?

What does a backtrace show ?

Can you switch to the other threads and see what is
tells us ?

If you can, please compile libc_r and rtld-elf with
debug symbols and install them. I'd say that there is
no need to compile OO.org with -g.
