Or do these programs support "all" ;-) ? > >KDK > "support" is not that simple to answer since there are SmartUPS and dumb UPS and depends on what you want to spend/configure. apcupsd supports the popular brands and I usually go with APC SmartUPS which can communicate over the cables. The "dumb" UPS are very limited and the cables are pretty useless. When I first looked and evaluated, I went to the ports and there within the ports in the info files you will usually find the website URLs to go to. There is a tremendous amount of docs explaining everything at the sites. I know apcups is this way and I suspect NUT is too..... Just don't expect too much out of the dumb UPS units and if you have the budget, go with APC SmartPRO or SmartUPS.... the configuring will be easier.... Best regards, Jack L.
