It was quite odd, but even with the re-built gcc after your fix) it would still not compile. After a discussion with someone else who was building it under V5 but also trying to build with bento and having it fail, I discovered that after re-installing gcc2.95, irrtoolset mysteriously started building. ??? I don't claim to understand why it started to build, but it did, so I pulled the "BROKEN" for V5. (Probably should have tried building under 5.1-Release, but I didn't take the time).
