Your too merciful. One of my first commits was a huge patch (submitted by some Russian whose name I don't remember) fixing seventy-odd its/it's errors in comments in the kernel source. I was immediately flamed by at least one native speaker who claimed the patch was all wrong and us furriners should leave this stuff to native speakers... Oh well.
