Hi, I have a colo machine running RELENG_5_3 (without serial console access). Sometimes the machine will not come back up after a reboot. Since there is no console, I have no idea what/why/how... :-( This is in the log file: May 10 16:11:54 europa reboot: rebooted by chacs May 10 16:11:54 europa syslogd: exiting on signal 15 May 10 19:26:52 europa syslogd: kernel boot file is /boot/kernel/kernel May 10 19:26:52 europa kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2004 The FreeBSD... (okay, I just found out how to do /var/log/console.log) My question is, is there some kind of "watchdog" type of program/settings which will trigger a "forced" reboot should the shutdown part of the regular reboot process failed ? Regards. -cs
