	The first thought is - does it show these symptoms in other
operating systems (try a few bootable images) ? If it does then you're
probably looking at a hardware problem - most likely the heatsink is no
longer in good thermal contact with the CPU. 

	If not then we're chasing a FreeBSD problem. It may well be
worthwhile installing the GPU driver, certainly worth trying - there are a
*lot* of nvidia driver packages so read the docs carefully to get the right
one.
