X11 installed. >Description: The /usr/X11R6/lib/aout libraries appear to be incorrect. Running either the aout jdk, or netscape will cause the following error message: /usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "___inet_addr" called from netscape:/usr/X11R6/lib/aout/libX11.so.6.1 at 0x20c3d944 >How-To-Repeat: Do a clean 3.1-RELEASE install. Install the communicator 4.08 package Try to run it. >Fix: I solved the problem by mounting the 2.2.8 Installation CD and copying the libraries from the XF86333/Xbin.tgz tar-ball to /usr/X11R6/lib/aout. (I note these are dated Nov. while the compat libraries in 3.1 are dated later.) I suggest updating the lib/aout files with the previous contents from FreeBSD 2.2.8. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
