Hi, PC-BSD is FreeBSD under the hood. Just different packages after install as Kris Moore has said. So I would recommend following the handbook : https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/synching.html . Although I thought PC-BSD supplies an NVIDIA driver, I haven't used it for a while but I'd look at the repository first.
