FreeBSD-5.3-release does not have current packages.=20 They are dinosaurs the day after they unlock the port system from a=20 release. You have to look for packages in 5-stable/.../Latest. Such as ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-5-stable/Latest/ The package site always lags behind the port system. If you want current=20 applications, you have to cvsup and then build them on your system. You=20 have choices but you have to understand the options.
