Hi

Vagalume (audio/vagalume) has an option to display the currently
playing track in Pidgin's status message. It doesn't work though, so I
was hoping someone in here could help me.

I don't know if it's the same issue or not, but purple-remote can't
seem to communicate with Pidgin either:

%purple-remote "setstatus?status=away&message=test"
No existing libpurple instance detected.
