-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I'm trying to install 2.2.7 on a machine for a friend of mine and they have a 3Com 3c900 PCI card in their machine. Everytime I boot the machine off of a 2.2.7 boot floppy it locks up after detecting the network card. It only spits out the first line saying "vx0 detected blah blah" and never prints out a line giving which media it is using or its ethernet address. In fact, it completely hangs. My friend also has a set of 2.2.6 CD's, so I tried booting off the first CD and got the same error. I'm considering creating a boot disk with the new xl driver on it to try that out, but I'd rather find a simpler solution if possible. It seems that other people use the vx driver and 3c900 without too much of a problem. Please cc me on any replies as I'm not reading this list, thanks. - --- John Baldwin - -- jobaldwi@vt.edu -- jbaldwin@freedomnet.com -- ---- http://www.freedomnet.com/~jbaldwin/ ---- "I waited for the Lord on high/I waited and He heard my cry." - Petra -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQB1AwUBNgmvuojYza302vYpAQH1xwMAm6hOaLGefEWkDteZaJCZc+fI7SKWq36Y JrkjeE4Ya8UKncG/dgjrp8Q+lwNXQGYVUCXevscsaj9yZlFehJT0BwdDv9bB93kQ rsRV7ovV1cKgvBI2XXonrVGhc9hBoP6k =nXlJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
