I can't manage to get the box to talk with the modem with PPP. I am looking for a freeBSD script to do this as well as info on where to set it up so that it starts automatically on boot up. My second problem is the following, I do not understand how the communication is handled between the box and the ISP in regards to the following: the box has the assigned IP number 192.168.0.101 but the ISP has assigned it 209.203.2.119. My question is, does NAT handle the communications between the two IP ranges or is this handled by the modem? If NAT does handle the communications how do I get it to work? My third problem is getting DHCPD to run in freeBSD, I need to look at somones config file as I found the default example somewhat confusing. Kind regards Godfrey From the desk of Godfrey J.
