Hi, this must be a common problem but I can't find reference to it anywhere... I have Tektronix Phaser IIIPXi (postscript) colour printer, which was connected to Appletalk, but now I want to put on ethernet. FreeBSD (2.2.5) + netatalk + parrallel port is a cheap way to do it. Spooling with netatalk and FreeBSD works fine... Printing ascii encoded postscript files also works fine. Printing postscript files containing binary data and the printer hangs forever. Further investigation finds that I can cat ascii postscript files (i.e. cat test.ps > /dev/lpt0) ok, but not postscript files containing binary encoded image data. Anybody have an idea for a way around this ? thanks in advance -Bill To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe questions" in the body of the message
