I think I was a bit presumptious :) The make and make install was going SO well, I thought I was there. So I guess it's installed (the port that is), but it's not going yet. This is mc-4.5.9 (Midnight Commander), similar to Norton Commander if you know the old dos stuff. One more step. Any more ideas whilst I struggle along trying to figure out what to do next..
