I have updated to FreeBSD current to try out acpi sleep, which works great by the way, and the improvements to wifi and the addition of sleep are enough to keep current on the laptop. Here's the problem, the cpu is maxed out, no scaling at all. Here's the output of powerd -v load 108%, current freq 2000 MHz ( 0), wanted freq 4000 MHz load 109%, current freq 2000 MHz ( 0), wanted freq 4000 MHz load 102%, current freq 2000 MHz ( 0), wanted freq 4000 MHz load 124%, current freq 2000 MHz ( 0), wanted freq 4000 MHz load 108%, current freq 2000 MHz ( 0), wanted freq 4000 MHz leroy# dmesg | grep -i cpu CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz (1997.34-MHz K8-class CPU) FreeBSD/SMP: Multiprocessor System Detected: 2 CPUs cpu0 (BSP): APIC ID: 0 cpu1 (AP): APIC ID: 1 cpu0: on acpi0 coretemp0: on cpu0 est0: on cpu0 p4tcc0: on cpu0 cpu1: on acpi0 coretemp1: on cpu1 est1: on cpu1 p4tcc1: on cpu1 SMP: AP CPU #1 Launched! leroy# sysctl dev.cpu.0.freq dev.cpu.0.freq: 2000 Plugged in or not.
