Well, have you seen FreeBSD 5.x ?

Oh my my. That's sooo leet attitude. On my laptop I just loaded some
modules, that came with Debian's 2.4.21 kernel package. Pity you had to wait
for recompilation.

Why do you think, that editing some configuration file and typing "make" is
"learning the OS better"?
