The error that is crashing the machine is: pppd : ioctl(TIOCSCTTY): operation not permitted. I get this after dialing into a modem (ttyd0) and typing: pppd /dev/ttyd0 38400 If anyone has a cookbook example of how pppd is supposed to be setup I would appreciate it. I have read the PPP.faq file and used the options file listed for a server type arrangement. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Terry Rossi tpr@pics.com Data: 609/753-2540 Sysop, Pics OnLine BBS telnet: bbs.pics.com 609/767-0216 Voice/Fax WWW: http://www.pics.com
