Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I found out the hard way (by buying a system which had a floppy tape and only afterward RTFM) that most backup tape systems for PCs aren't supported under FreeBSD. So I think I sacrifice a brand new Travan with accelerator, and go buy something. But all SCSI tape systems start hundreds of dollars higher. 1. Any leads on refurb SCSI tape systems within modest budgets? 2. Are Travan tapes supported in any way? TIA Chuck Bacon -- crtb@capecod.net ABHOR SECRECY -- DEFEND PRIVACY
