Freebsd 4.8 1. installed a perl mod that decided it needed Perl 5.8. that went ok, but now I've got /usr/bin/perl 5.0 /usr/local/bin/perl 5.8 What is the command to get the sytstem to switch to defaulting to 5.8? 2. "pkg_add -r db3" also went ok, but perl -MCPAN -e 'install BerkeleyDB' bombs out with: /usr/bin/perl -I/usr/libdata/perl/5.00503/mach -I/usr/libdata/perl/5.00503 /usr/libdata/perl/5.00503/ExtUtils/xsubpp -noprototypes -typemap /usr/libdata/perl/5.00503/ExtUtils/typemap -typemap typemap BerkeleyDB.xs >xstmp.c && mv xstmp.c BerkeleyDB.c cc -c -I./libraries/4.2.41/include -DVERSION=\"0.25\" -DXS_VERSION=\"0.25\" -DPIC -fpic -I/usr/libdata/perl/5.00503/mach/CORE BerkeleyDB.c BerkeleyDB.xs:74: #error db.h is from Berkeley DB 1.x - need at least Berkeley DB 2.6.4 *** Error code 1 thanks Len
