Synopsis: folder dissapear misteriously State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: schweikh State-Changed-When: Sat Feb 18 16:45:41 UTC 2006 State-Changed-Why: Sorry, this is most certainly a pilot error. I assume the directory in question (you did not name it...) was on a UFS file system. There is no known way for directories to mysteriously disappear other than hardware defects messing up file system data structures. If this is the case you may have a chance of getting data back by running fsck and see if something was reconnected to the lost+found directory on that file system. By the way, where are your backups? http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=93511
