If it's the Walnut Creek 2.2.6 or later version, you'll find the sources in /cdrom/src/ssys.a*. Together they make up a gzipped tar file. You'll also find an ASCII version of The Complete FreeBSD on /cdrom/book/book.txt, and that will give you more details of what to do.
