The bug does not appear on any other architectures I know. It follows that if the port is to remain in the FreeBSD ports tree, it needs to be fixed by a patch. If no one else does it, I will investigate the problem myself when I find some spare time (not this week, but maybe next week). Therefore, I believe the right action for now is to reopen the PR until I or someone else finds a solution and comes up with a patch. If you agree, please reopen. - Harald
