I am using the same system (FreeBSD 4.5) and configuration of 5 days ago, the only difference being the upgrade to netatalk 1.5.2. Errors when starting up netatalk are as follows: socket: Protocol not supported atalkd: can't get interfaces, exiting. I also log this message (nothing more): afpd[263]: main: atp_open: Protocol not supported As I said, v. 1.5.1 worked fine with this same setup.
