For sh, the original, although a bit dated, work is "The UNIX
Programming Environment" by Kernighan and Pike. For csh and tcsh, I've
heard that "The Unix C Shell Field Guide" is good. Another book that has
many Unix techniques that I reccomend to anyone who wants to learn the
power of Unix is O'Reilly's "UNIX Power Tools".
